Hi guys my name is Panayiotis i’m a software engineer and a Level 8 local guide from Cyprus.
I have been been actively contributing to Google Maps since the program started a few years ago.
The first thing I have contributed was to add the road outside my house, this have helped all of neighbours and all of them have helped me and got their appreciation. From that point onwards I understood the power of google maps and the contribution to the local community. In Cyprus we do not have full functionality of the street view and a lot of places do not have any web presence and that’s why I have helped a lot of local business in Cyprus.
On the other hand I travel a lot through out the year, and I like to contribute to places
I wanted to help and contribute to local guides program just because fellow guide people who were helping me.
I have dozen and dozen of stories related with the local guides and business added to google maps in Europe.
