What is the most interesting thing you've done as a Local Guide?

I am Ukrainian, but I live in Poland for the last 8 years. In 2019 I decided to go to Hel by car: it is our favorite place in Poland. My husband said: OK, but first we go to Szczecin, cause we haven’t never been there and we have to make a video about this place for our You Tube channel :slightly_smiling_face: And … the jorney for our family (me, my husband, our new born son and fifteen year old daughter) has started.

We moved forward to Szczecin. On our way we have visited also Monument of Christ in Świebodzin, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra.

Adding only our photos below in my story

Monument of Christ in Świebodzin (Rio de Świebodzineiro :stuck_out_tongue: ) :

Zielona Góra:

Gorzów Wielkopolski:

Szczecin:

We have made a lot of photos and videos of Szczecin, the movie about Szczecin is already on our You Tube channel. And then we went to Hel. Actually on our way to Hel , absolutely by accident we have found very unusual place: it was a restaurant. We all were hungry, but all the restaurants on our way (we saw just 2 or 3) were too busy, we had to go further and look for more, but this road is not very popular, there are not much restaurants at all, we were sad and even hangry…

Apparently we saw it - Bar Leśny (Bar in the forest).

It was not on Google Maps, it looked strange, it looked like an open-air museum: arbors, umbrellas, swings, strange sculptures made of wood. We were desperate and tired, without any power to go further, and we decided to stay there.

Much more we were surprised when we saw that there is just one person working in the restaurant: he was a waiter and a chef in same time, without any assistant. I thought then: “Oh, my… we will stay hungry to the end of the days…” )))

But no, we’ve got our order quite fast and the dishes… No, of course, it was not Michelin restaurant, but, Guys, the food was like we were at the grandma’s house! Really , home-made food: so simple, so tasty, so high quality of ingredients! And that guy, who was the owner of the restaurant, the waiter and the chef – he was really super nice, caring, smiling, attentive… We have left our hearts in this place.

By the way, we talked a bit to that guy, he was too busy to talk much. He looked like an Italian guy: nice, funny, stylish and so fast! But we learned that he is Polish, but he lived in Italy for a long time and came back not far ago.

Of course, I had to add this place to Google Maps! All who will be on that road in Poland (the Road E28) should visit this restaurant. This place worth your time and money for sure! And of course, it worse to be on Google Maps!

Then we moved further - to Hel. And our video story about the best place on the Baltic Sea in Poland - is already on You Tube also.
