As is embossed upon my old and worn-out wallet, which I still keep regardless, “Life is not really about finding yourself. I’ts about creating yourself”. And in that respect I seem to be doing a good job “creating” myself.
My name is Ehra, and I love travelling in my own country. I started travelling at my own phase when I did quit my corporate job back in 2017. Google Maps and Google Earth is always my guide when I need to navigate and explore new and undiscovered places. I started teaching freediving and creating some instructions on how can I be able to make a Non swimmer to be a diver in just a weekend. Google Maps and Google Earth taught me to discover the place before hand and get to check on the coastal areas if there are reefs or dive spots. I always bring with me extra pairs of diving gears in the hopes of teaching some local spearfishers with the basics of breath hold in freediving and they will eventually become my diving buddies. Throughout my travels, these are the most interesting things I’ve done; First, I was able to create a group who will spread the awareness that there is a life underneath the surface of the water and we need to act right away to save the nature; Second, I have taught some individuals to be a diving coach and they were able to help and encourage their friends to learn skindiving even if they are non swimmers; and Third, the rewarding side, they help with our coastal cleanup programs in return. Being a Local Guide, I can help the locals to boost the tourism with these 3 Missions:
- To help reduce the drown rate in our country by teaching Open Water Survival Absolutely and Skindiving for FREE; 2. To Spread Love and Care for the Sea in the means of “Every Dive is a Clean Up Dive”, Reducing the Use of Single-Use Plastic Products and Coastal Cleanup programs; 3. Raise-up more Freediving coaches who shares the same passion.
