Road Trip to Brazilian Northeast, the paradise!

At the end of 2019 my brother had needed to attend an American Visa interview in Recife, city in the northeast of Brazil located at least 800 km away from my home. My brother invited me to go with him by airplane, but the tickets were so expensive in the Brazilian summer.

So, my brother has taken a vacation from his job in December and we decided to go to Recife by car and do a little road trip in fifteen days through four states (Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas and Pernambuco). We have known the best tourist spots on the Brazilian coast like Porto de Galinhas, Maragogi, Praia do Forte and others dozens of amazing places. It was an incredible cultural, tourist and gastronomic experience.

As a Local Guide, I decided to share my travel experiences in this trip through the Brazilian northeast and help others with my contributions (photos, tips, information, responses and ratings).

Here are some of my photos and contributions as a traveler and Local Guide. From Salvador – Bahia to Recife – Pernambuco, these photos might inspire you to travel to Brazilian northeast.

The first capital of Brazil, Salvador-Bahia, is one of the most visited cities in the country and it is not difficult to understand why. It is not difficult to be impressed by beautiful landscapes, amazing beaches, with the typical cuisine of the region and with this beautiful sunset, captured in one of the most visited tourist spots in the city, the Barra Lighthouse.

To go to the small town of Maragogi, in the north of Alagoas, is to feel in the Caribbean without having to leave Brazil. Maragogi is known to many as the Brazilian Caribbean, and the paradisiacal beaches with clear and greenish waters can explain the comparison.

Porto de Galinhas is considered one of the best beaches in Brazil. The beauty of the natural pools and the thermal waters attracts tourists from all over the world to this region that was not long time ago considered just a small fishing village.
