The most interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide is assist taxi drivers to find the destination I am headed to. Most of the taxi drivers just know certain places and when they have a customer that is headed to an unfamiliar location they tend to ask the customer. In my experiences, as a paying passenger, I will not know the exact route but will know place and for the taxi driver they will know the route .So using my phone with mobile data, I go to the “BLUE GO” button which allows me to type my location, route or building. Then I select the “START” tab which shows the fastest route with less traffic at specific times of the day. Most of the drivers are surprised when I show them the route and they say at least you had the direction otherwise we would be driving in dead ends.
