I have been working as a Local Guide for more than 3 years. During these years, I have learnt much more about importance of local guides and google map. Google map has been a great platform for country like Nepal for global recognition. This improves the reachability and understanding of local people and tourists towards different unseen and un-heard places. In Nepal, there are still lot more places yet to be discovered and recognized throughout the whole world. So, in such case, I feel very lucky to be the part of Google Local Guide and make my country more accessible and reachable.
I also feel very happy to know that contents that I upload, reviews that I give is helping people in different part of the world. I think the most important thing that I have done as a Local Guide is adding missing places in the map, which other-wise would not reachable for many people or would remain unknown to others. For eg.: I have added temples, shops, etc in my area. I am very excited to see how people has started to contribute to this place by adding information and photos, once I had added these places on map. This is making google map more reliable and useful than ever before.
Nowadays, whenever I go to any places, I don’t forget to take pictures and other collect information from local people so that I could post them on google map and help google map community to grow stronger and further.
