Apart from meeting new peoples around the country (India) and exploring new places, the most interesting thing that I’ve done as a local guide is adding a road to Google Maps and also adding different missing places on Google Maps. By adding the road to the Google Maps (which is a direct shortcut to the station road), it helped a lot of people to reach their destination quickly specially the ones who love to navigate using the Google Maps. Apart from that I added a number of beautiful places which were not on Maps previously. Not many people knew about these places and their addition to Maps helped a lot of people.
What drives me to improve the Google Maps?
There are many places on which I made a review on map. I occasionally get thanks message via email or from my friends who were benefited due to that. One of the most noteworthy moments was when I got a compliment message from a hospital who were very pleased from my review. These small things motivate me to do further, to improve the Google Maps experience more and more.
