I always like maps and visiting guides, since I was a child. I like to see them, to use them, to study them…
When I was changing from paper to virtual maps I found it amazing to use the GPS on the map and find places with a simple touch. In this time I tryed some maps and I thought, the Google Maps is the best! When I discovered the possibility to edit it I loved and became a Local Guide!
As a Local Guide I have the possibility to edit, add, evaluate and correct information about the map and its interest points. This is Fantanstic!
During this time I’ve done some things very interesting:
I’ve given the name of my street, I’ve added a restaurant foto which has aproximetyly 2.7 million views, I’ve discoved new places and put then on the map, I’ve elaluated places thus helping the owners and costumers,
I’ve correct some information which help people to enjoy better their moments…
I am a pilot, so I work with maps and travell a lot. I usully go to many cities and countries and I often go to places which I like to share.
I would like to know every point in each city in the world. I know it is impossible but I keep trying and the Local Guide program helps me.
I have a collection of turistic maps and I think Google should create this virtual kind of map to help turists with a more fun and beatigul maps, which could even be download as a suveniur.
