What is the most interesting thing I've done as Local Guide and what it means to me

  1. I think that goes together: the interesting thing I’ve done as Local Guide and what it means to me. Actually I started by accident: some shopping assistants were neighter kind nor helpful. I felt upset, so I prooved myself to be right and wrote negative feedback on Google to even the bills. Might help, who knows? Few weeks later turned out that big number of people have read it. My ego flattered, we’re all square with unkind guys. Google has informed me about Local Guides program. Why not? Makes me feeel goood… being appreciated, putting my thoughs and impressions together. It’s less tedious then writing a diary: I share my opinions and the number of entries and likes are the response and motivation. For me Local Guides program is then my freedom of expression, order of thoughs and impressions, maybe even a little impact on my city: if so many guys read it? Makes one think of responsibility. Knowing that people will read it stimulates one’s efforts to look again, deeper, more true, write more interestingly, spread cultural language, kindness, understanding, ideas one believes in.

Google is great: huge and obvious, not restrained by any local restrictions. Local Guides program is part of Google which is big part of modern life: freedom of speach and acces to informations.

People just “google it” these days.

Dear me!

So nice seeing your comment and being welcomed. I’m relatively new in the Local Guides world. Looked forward to uncharted territory…and what a lovely suprise: my fellow countrygirl! For some reason makes one’s eye sparkle :slightly_smiling_face:

Also thank you for the useful links.

Do stay in touch.

Hello LuigiZ,

Thank you for your kind message and your help with my, hmm…debut. I will look carefully through the tips and links you’ve sent me, to not cause any unnecessary hassle. And to stay connectef :slightly_smiling_face:

Well… I’m not that old,

Young, but I’m not that bold…

And cheerfully thinking about the meaning of good mood.
