I remember a not so great experience I had with Byron Burger Restaurant in London (near St Paul’s station). When I posted my review online on how I went out to eat with a few friends (during lunch) and had to wait a considerable amount of time before we were served. Apparently, our order got lost and no one was going to bring our meal until we protested about not getting our food before folks we saw that came after us. The restaurant saw my post online and reached out to me apologising for that experience and proactively took steps to ensure that no-one else had that bad experience. Apparently, they were trying out a new system that was ‘somehow’ randomly putting orders in a black hole. I got a voucher as an apology; I’ve gone there a few times after the incident and con confirm that the restaurant has taken steps to address this issue.
What I did as a local guide was to help the restaurant take pro-active steps to ensure that customer orders don’t get missed after they have been placed in the restaurant.
