According to my thoughts, the main responsibility of a Google Local Guide: -
a) Adding or removing photos and videos on Google Maps (ensuring relevance).
b) Adding or correcting road information on Google Maps.
c) Verifying and fact-checking information associated with a location on Google Maps.
d) Reporting instances of spam content, particularly in photos and videos.
e) Responding to community questions and providing helpful information.
f) Adding new places, such as shops, schools, markets, etc., to Google Maps.
g) Writing honest and constructive online reviews.
You will not be able to get any money from your contributions to Google Maps.
Even without such compensation, Maps is flooded with spam every day. Imagine what would happen if Local Guides were compensated for each photo, review, and edit. I fear the accuracy would take a big hit. Even the points system seems to make some users focus more on quantity than quality.
