What is the lowest calorie drink at Starbucks?

There is a Starbucks near my apartment.

It is on the first floor of a two-story building, and the second floor is a dentist.

Mitaka City, where I live, is famous for having more dentists than supermarkets and convenience stores.

There are at least eight walk-in dentists in my neighborhood.

In Japan, most Starbucks are near train stations. They are very convenient but always crowded and they don’t have enough space between tables.

But the Starbucks near my apartment has a drive‐through system and there is a large parking lot. There is also a lot of space inside so it can accommodate many people without getting too crowded.

Unfortunately they were closed because of the Corona virus but recently they opened again. We can’t stay in the shop, their service is for take out only.

Yesterday my sister asked me to get her a drink from Starbucks and she said that I could get my favorite drink with her money.

It was good, but I am on a diet so I decided to buy the lowest calorie drink in Starbucks.

I did a Google search and found an article about the top 10 low-calorie drinks in Starbucks.

Tall size

  1. Tea 0 kcal
  2. Caffè Americano 11 kcal
  3. Brewed Coffee (Ice)11kcal (Hot)15kcal
  4. Starbucks Latte * Non-fat milk* (Ice) 68kcal (Hot)120kcal *Law-fat milk *(Ice) 96kcal (Hot)170kcal
  5. Cappuccino 113kcal
  6. Mango Frappuccino 120kcal
  7. Caffe Misto 126kcal
  8. Houji Tea Latte 162kcal
  9. Coffee Frappuccino 203kcal
  10. Caramel Macchiato 208kcal

What the hell, I never bought from this menu.

Tea is the best drink if I consider calories, but…. it’s no longer Starbucks for me.

Starbucks is a special place for me to buy a Frappuccino with cream.

This list also has a mango frappuccino and a coffee frappuccino, but these drinks have no cream, that’s why their calorie is low.

However…Frappuccino without cream is like the 25th of December without Christmas trees.

I wanted to buy a drink at Starbucks that made me feel happier.

After all that, I decided to buy the lowest calorie item from my favorite drinks list.

My favorite Starbucks tall drinks list

Caffé Mocha 391kcal

Caramel Frappuccino 272kcal

Matcha(Green tea) Frappuccino 310kcal

Vanilla Cream Frappuccino 218kcal

It was a shock that two of my favorite drinks exceeded 300 kcal.

Especially I had a healthy image of the green tea flavored drink, but it had a lot of calories.

So I decided to order the last one.

When I went to the store, four customers were already waiting their turn in line.

The queue positions were written on the floor with tape, and there was a wide space between the numbers.

Most Japanese stores look like this now to avoid the Corona virus.

The Starbucks drink I bought was very delicious because I hadn’t had it for a long time.

Hi @Coco1228

What a funny and yummy story from you to choose the real Starbucks menu in low calories. I agree with you that if we only buy tea and other drink without cream, it doesn’t feel like Starbucks :joy:

Glad to know that your choice was Vanilla Cream Frappuccino.

P.S : Their Matcha Frappuccino is also one of the best  Love it although it is higher in calories!

Btw, it makes me curious, why there is so many dentist in Mitaka? Is there any history behind that?

Hello @Velvel thank you for your nice comment. I’m really glad that I can find a person who has the same opinion as me. Yes, I didn’t decide to order tea in Starbucks, Vanilla Cream Frappuccino made me very happy.

And it’s nice that you also love Matcha Frappuccino, it is very delicious so I decided to forget the calories in this drink.

Actually, I heard that dentists receive government subsidies in Mitaka City. Mitaka citizens can get a free dental examination once a year, and the dentist can get the money from the government.

A low calorie intake is always good till you are not sweating otherwise it may not nourish. How relevent with dentists, it may be a concern of residents. Please you should be cautious about your teeth.

Hi @Coco1228

Starbucks to me have really sweet drinks and I can barely drink them, but once I year I have their pumpkin spice latter, because it’s really delicious and reminds of warm and happy moments.

I also tried one of their cold drinks with vanilla or caramel, I don’t remember, but it was again a bit too sweet for me. ?

Hello @rizbab28 , thank you for your nice comment and telling me good things. I’ve never thought of it like you, I only focused on how I can lose my weight. Actually I haven’t had a tooth decay for about 10 years, because one dentist told me that if I remove my tartar once every 3 month, I won’t have a tooth decay.

….Oh.

I forgot to go to the dentist for over three months because of the coronavirus! I really appreciate your comment, after I sent this comment I will go to a dentist ASAP.

Hello @DanniS , thank you for your lovely comment.

Wow, I have never tried pumpkin spice, that sounds delicious so I’m looking forward to their serving it.

If those drinks are too sweet, you have the right taste.

I have heard that people nowadays are accustomed with too many sweets.

I am also thinking of a slightly healthier diet. I came to this decision after eathing ice cream which was in the freezer
