I travel a lot. To date, I have visited 48 countries. I immigrated to Estonia and have lived there for one and a half year. Do you know how immigrants feel in an alien country? They feel lonely and lost. When I was living in Estonia I realized how different life was before Google Maps reviews. I was new to Estonia, I didn’t know nothing and it was really hard. But I could make it to adjust to the city thanks to Google Maps and Local Guides. I read reviews and went to places recommended by Google Maps community. I felt like I’m surrounded by friends ready to support me any time. They knew more about that beautiful country and were ready to reveal it to me. And I realized that I’m not alone anymore.
I wrote reviews too in order to help people choose a cafe or restaurant. I like being a Local Guide in Saint Petersburg and to share my experience. I think how helpful I could be to people every time as I leave a review. I’m proud of this mission. I know it matters.
I like the idea that many business owners pay attention to my reviews, respond to me and listen to me making their establishment better.
Local Guides is a way to help and self express. It’s really interesting and it’s really cool.
P.S. in the photo I’m trying to find a coffee shop that’s open on Sunday
