As you might have already noticed, Local Guides can earn badges for doing several things here on LocalGuidesConnect.com. The most popular badges are: writing, giving and receiving likes and finding solutions.
Since it is the most popular to the publishing of date of this post, let’s see in detail how can one get the Writer Badges and how many users have gotten it. But first, let’s answer the most basic questions:
How can you get the Writer Badge?
This badge is awarded for the amount of times a user has posted on Local Guides Connect, it goes from “New Writer” to “Master Writer” depending the quantity of posts made.
How do the Writer Badges rank?
They “rank” as it follows:
- Master Writer: Earned by: 7 Local Guides · Amount of posts: 500 times
- Influential Writer: Earned by: 27 Local Guides · Amount of posts: 250 times
- Zippy Writer: Earned by: 133 Local Guides · Amount of posts: 100 times
- Budding Writer: Earned by: 350 Local Guides · Amount of posts: 50 times
- New Writer: Earned by: 185,815 Local Guides · Amount of posts: 1 time
In my personal case my highest writer badge is “Zippy Writer” so with each post I am getting closer to the “Influential Writer”. How about you?!

I am an Influential writer and aspire to become a Master Writer.
Though I have a question - just as @MahabubMunna Bhai, I am also doing more than 5k messages.
How to figure out how many articles/posts I have posted and how many are replies/comments.
In short, how to find out how far I am from the 500 articles mark far the Master writer badge.

@TusharSuradkar I think you can figure out the number by checking the statistics on your profile (scroll down to the bottom where the numbers are) and add up the numbers for Topics started and Ideas posted.

I missed out mentioning and what I meant, but was not obvious, was about others like @MahabubMunna or WisnuCentiono.
How do I know the articles from the replies for other local guides since these stats are private to the best of my knowledge?

Yes, I know about the existence of the badges, as I am one of the 7.
I joined Connect two years before you, and this may explain why I wrote more post.
However, my situation is quite intriguing: I cannot get other badges, so why I continue to contribute?
Maybe because, like you, I like to share, and maybe because badges and numbers are not the most important thing that we can get in here.
We receive badges because we contribute, but I hope that we will not contribute just to receive badges, as in the sad example shared by @TusharSuradkar . If we are patient, Tushar, from the profile we can count one by one the posts, or solutions, of every local guide.
Even if the number is not public, most of the post are accessible to everyone

The stats for each local guide are private.
So ermest’s method of counting manually needs to be used.
