I have been often getting different questions regarding ‘Private messaging’, in our LG Connect.

What is a Private Message?
As you are aware, in LG Connect, to secure the privacy of the members, personal data (like mobile Number, Mail ID, etc.) are not allowed to be shared. However, if you want to communicate with a particular LG, we can use the “Private Messaging” service. Through private Messaging, you can send your Mobile Number, Mail ID, FB, Twitter or Instagram, etc. to your friend LGs.
Where to find this Option & How to send a ‘Private Message’?
If you want to send a ‘Private Message’ to TravellerG, then go to the ‘Profile Page of TravellerG’. At the bottom of the Profile Page, there is the option: “Send this user a private message”. This option will allow you to send private messages. (However, kindly do not send private messages to Moderators, as they may not have time to respond to private messages).
How to go to the Profile Page of a fellow LG?
There are 2 ways:
- From the LG Connect Home Page:
If you know the LG Connect ID of the person & you want to directly send a Private Message, then use the following option:
From LG Connect Home Page, Click on the ‘Search Button’. You will two options under the ‘Search the Community’ page:
- Posts
- Users
Select the ‘Users’ & carefully type the LG Connect ID of the fellow LG (remember LG Connect ID is case sensitive). Then, search by clicking the Search Option (Magnifier Symbol) - The fellow LG’s name will be displayed. By clicking on this name, you will get the Profile Page of the person.
- From the LG Connect Post
Open the Post or Reply of the fellow LG. Click on the name of the fellow LG. Then you will reach the Profile Page of the LG.
How to Send a Private Message?
Go to the Profile Page using any of the above two methods. Then Scroll down till the end of the Page. At the bottom of the Profile Page, there is the option: “Send this user a private message”. This option will allow you to send private messages to anyone.
