Since there are posts about who we are and where we are from, let’s open up discussion about food. As many of us love delicious food.

In Edmonton Alberta, Canada, we are proud of our beef.

In Kelowna British Columbia, we are proud of our wines, especially ice-wine.

In Cork Ireland, fish and chips.

Hi @O_Nate ,

Nice post! It’s interesting to read a bit of some local dishes and drinks around the world. Thank you for creating it.

I believe that Argentina is known for its meat, and barbeques. Some areas of the country also produce great wine, like the province of Mendoza.

A drink that is also very popular here is Mate, you can read what it is and more in my post Mate: all about it. We aren’t sure of where it was actually invented, but lots of people drink it every day in Argentina and Uruguay.

Hello @O_Nate , how are you?

like your post!

Argentina, my country is well known by the excellent beef.

Here it is very common to make in weekend reunions with friends or family and we make a kind of barbecue called ASADO. And usually we open a bottle of a different red wine to follow the barbecue.

I add you the link of my post here where you can see more things about this.

Definitely one of my favourite dishes while visiting Bavaria. The pork knuckles are massive and the pints are a mini aquarium.

Thanks for sharing your local dish.

@Radjasitanggang Nasi Goreng! I totally forgot about Nasi Goreng. Yes, this dish is absolutely a must when visiting Indonesia. While in Bali, Singapore, and S. Korea I got to eat Nasi Goreng.

There is a group of Indonesians in S. Korea. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of Nasi Goreng.

@Jesi I will give Mate a read.

I would definitely be interested in visiting Argentina and experiencing a proper BBQ.

It is funny here in Cork Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. They refer to one’s close friends as mates. Suppose beer is a close mate.

Thanks for sharing a bit about Argentina.

In Ukraine it is borshch )) Difficult to pronounce, but deliiiiiicious to taste ?

It is our veeery famous soup. The recipes of borsch vary, but vegetables must contain beetroot and cabbige, + sour cream is also a must ingredient.

The beetroot used gives the borshch its trademark deep reddish-purple incredible color!!!

One of the best borshches in Kiev is cooked in Kanapa restaurant and presented in such a great way to be places in cabbige itself. Unforgettable ?
