It all started with a curiosity to explore, share and help. That’s when I came across google local guide program and since then I felt in love with this platform.
I felt more empowered by sharing my views,The moments I captured and Most importantly, I got a chance to correct places, Add new places and Explore more on google maps and make it bit more accurate with my tiny steps. It really felt good!

Why I Contribute to local guide program?
Through this, I am able to help other people who use google maps frequently. It happened multiple times to me, while visiting a place navigating through google maps, I reached to a place, which doesn’t exist any more or sometimes the marker placement was incorrect. This became really frustrating as I lost my time and money to reach to that place. It might not sound like a very big issue unless you have faced it.
So with the help of google local guide program, Me, As an individual got an opportunity to make our surrounding better and helpful by correcting such places. Such that others don’t fall prey for that like I felt.

What motivates me, To share the pictures I captured?
I love to travel across different landscapes in India and I am fortunate enough to afford those Luxuries but few of my friends & relatives are not privileged to explore around
So with the help of google local guide program I am able to share beautiful photo’s of places I visited along with my realtime reviews of restaurants I experienced & shops I explored by keeping them updated. This in-turn motivated me to share more with the community. I even felt more motivated to share, when I received an email of appreciation from google. Stating, “How my pictures are making impact to the society by having more than 20k+ views!”

What pushed me to write a quality review for my experience?
I like sharing reviews for the places I have been. This acts like, A double-edged sword to me. Some appreciate it and thanked me personally for my efforts. As, It brought them more business. Like, There was a small grocery shop in Kanpur, India. I meet with the shop owner and he shared his journey that how he started it all from the very beginning this instilled his passion and dedication towards his work and it highly inspired me to share it with the world by just a small but a powerful medium called ‘Review’!
But looking into the other side, Some didn’t liked it, when I rate them low on their poor service. Like I reviewed one of the Hotel Chain partner hotel for it’s poor service against the bill I was charged. Later, I got contacted by that team and I was offered a discount on my next travel with a better guaranteed service. This empowered me for the opinions i hold and I felt respected for that.
