If I just upload photos but don’t write any review or rate a place, will my contribution count as a valid one?
Example: There is a Bar/Pub at my locality. Now, I don’t drink, so I don’t want to go inside. If I click photos from outside (storefront) and post those on Google Maps but don’t write any review as I am not receiving their service, so in that case will my contribution count as a valid contribution?
Or, ratings or reviews needed to support your image contribution?

Of course yes!!! Adding a photo is 5 points. You are perfectly free to add only photos. It’s not wrong neither is it compulsory to write or support it with a review
Well if It’s a new shop or POI or even an old one and you want to help others see what the place look like. That’s just great.

It sometimes happen for some places we could not enter or take any service. So may you suggest that you have to take a clear store front picture and upload in Google Map. Don’t give unnecessary picture.
