As someone who works in a business that requires to always travel, I visited numerous places within the city where I live which is Jakarta, or in other cities within Indonesia. I’ve been to many places whether hotels, restaurants, museums, public offices, airports, train stations, shops even manufacturers. I’ve been helped by Google map where I searched for the exact location. So I need to contribute back to Google Map to share any information I have, to help people. I posted anything, it can be photos or the review of services offered. I’d love more to respond any question posted on Google Map. I will directly answer if I have the information needed. So basically I love doing everything on Google Map as long as I can contribute and be helpful. Indonesia is a very big country, millions places to visit. People who travel in Indonesia both locals & foreigners will find less trouble to decide whether or not they go to the places they are searching and what to expect. My photos can’t be considered Photographic works, but they’re the real life situation kind of photos.
Now I want to share the information about the newest and also recognized as the tallest National Library in the world with 24 floors. It’s National Library of Republic of Indonesia, just opened in mid 2017. Beside being the source of old library materials like books, maps, children corner, it also included the concept of museum in the front original building that served as the library of history and politics in 1950’s. It’s now a favorite spot both for educational purpose and recreational destination. On weekends, families like to take their kids here to spend time in children’s corner. As it has 24 floors, the highest floor of the building, known as the Lounge is the perfect place to observe the surrounding area with the view of National Monument right across the street and the dome of Great Mosque “Istiqlal”. The National Monument is located in the middle of the city square, and the library it’s self is located in the south part of the square. The room of the 24th floor is a like a typical lounge in high rise building combined with gallery, with photos of all Indonesia presidents, sofas and several chair for a discussion, and display of our traditional fabric. To be a member of this library is free of charge.
