For a while now, I’ve been heavily relying on Google Maps to navigate my way around. It’s always reliable, and gets me where I need to go.
Eventually Google began prompting me to review and rate locations I’ve visited, and ever since then, I’ve been leaving reviews and ratings on the locations I’ve visited. While there is a lot of others who do so, I tend to rate these places not simply because of the quality, and support employees give you etc. But also on accessibility.
You see, I was born with a form of cancer, that impacted how far I can see. And while I won’t harshly judge every place, complaining that they should make it more friendly and accessible for individuals such as myself. I always think that honesty can do a lot to make the quality of some locations more pleasing to visit.
For example, Whenever I am looking to find an article, I have trouble reading the labels, if at any given time there’s someone I can ask for help for. That’s a plus, it gives that feeling of assurance, that, when you’re unable to find something, there’s always someone there that will offer to assist you. We all deserve the best in life. Even those that are almost, and/or completely blind!
And this is why, I am happy to share my experiences with the world, from a different kind of view!
