I love using Google Maps as my personal logbook of my travels. Instead of writing travel diaries, I upload photos to the places that impressed me most - or food that tasted great to me. So, I do not only save the timeline of the journey, but also the geographic data along with my feelings and thoughts.
I personally only upload places that I liked to four or five stars. It does not bother me to share the bad places, I just skip those. I also try to avoid bad phone pictures. I like my clean, high quality feed when I scroll back the review timeline.
Especially in times when I can not travel for a long time or I’m too busy. I like to look at the red dots on the map. Where I put my stamp everywhere, my feet hung in the water or which route I took. That’s pretty good for the soul.
These were my humble two cents for what I use Google Maps the most. And what I love most to share. The pictures from this post are from my trip to Singapore. A trip that I will never forget and that sits deep in my heart.
