I started posting on Google Maps because sometimes it is hard to find cool places when you are traveling or even in your own neighborhood. When I find a good restaurant, pub or other kind of place which has the kind of food I like or plays good music, I want other people to find it too. Sometimes when we evaluate a place on Maps, the owner has the opportunity to see what’s working fine or improve aspects the customer are complaining. I have got some owner replies to my comments, thanking for a compliment or saying they will fix something I dislike. Because of the owner reply, I can tell that I have returned to places I wouldn’t do so based on the first visit. And sometimes these places enter my favorite list. In many ways, I think that maps make our lives better and the more people share, the more complete tool it will be. It is exciting to know that what makes Maps great is the contribuition of everyone.
I appreacite your post and your comments about what you like to share on Google Maps and I agree with you that the locations we are adding and the information we update are making the maps even better and more accurate.
Thank you for sharing your experience and being so active Local Guide! I just wanted to let you know that I have removed the Portugese (Brazilian) language label of your post as it’s written in English. These types of labels are used so that posts in different languages can be found more easily by Local Guides who are speakers of these languages.
