What I love sharing the most on Google Maps & Why

Hello there!

This post is about what I love sharing the most on Google Maps & why and I’m just left thinking how many things could I nominate ! There are as many as the stars in the sky!

But for the purpose of brevity and relevance I’m putting out 3 of my absolutely favorite things that I rejoice sharing the most to maps. Here I go!

  1. Public places with extra-ordinary façade & interiors
  2. Creative objects, items or articles sold in shops
  3. Wall Arts, Graffiti’s & street art

Basically I enjoy having a creative eye and therefore try to make the most use of it by clicking and sharing pictures of most colorful visual delights everywhere I go.

I’m excited to share few of my this year’s findings and uploads.

Public places with extra-ordinary façade & interiors

Isn’t it great when you’re just walking past a road and you suddenly discover a public artwork. Or a shop that has a unique shape of its own. Facades and interiors have been my favorite subject whenever I travel local or otherwise and I absolutely enjoy being able to take cognizance of such buildings, doors etc.

Creative objects, items or articles sold in shops

I have been an avid collector of artworks and objects that have unusual work done upon them. In India, you find a lot of handicrafts showrooms, hence collecting these objects isn’t very tedious job.

I’m sharing with you pictures of some of most treasured things I have found and posted on Google Maps so that people can take a minute to appreciate the beauty in them.

Wall Arts, Graffiti’s & street art

There’s something about street art that gets me clicking them all the time. Every street art has a very strong message associated to it. In fact few weeks ago I decided to host a meetup to discover collect appreciate and celebrate wall murals which also got picked as Friday Favorites (it also has pictures of some of most scenic murals inside) you can read the detailed Recap of Exploring the Lodhi Artworks . It was my first meet-up and it saw close to 63 local guides and I’m still smiling wide till today!

Also sharing few other pictures captured from various other places. Each street art conveys an emotion and story in itself! Check them out :

I get nostalgic everytime I look at these pictures. You know that moment when you are able to capture a picture and it comes out just the way you wanted it to come out. That one wall, that one object that keeps looking at you, that one ray of sunshine through the curtain - they need to be clicked!

These pictures remind me of what a wonderful time I had just by looking at these painting. Maps keep my sense of wonder alive and it keeps my creative juices alive and rolling. I’m usually now on a look out for finding more ways to contribute to maps when eventually I realized that my views are bringing difference to various other people. I shall continue to make Google Maps more colorful, vibrant and beautiful with my little contributions! Can’t wait to see what all you guys like posting to maps. Cheers!
