What I love sharing the most on Google Maps and why it's important.

So, for applying to the “Google Local Guides connect live 2019” event i’v been asked to write about:
“what I love sharing most on Google Maps and why”,

Well,

I really love sharing my experience at local small businesses I find in my country (Israel) and on my traveling around the world.

First, those business are not fed up with previous reviews and rates, some of them don’t even show up on google maps. Its more fulfilling and meaningful for me to recommend and review a business that is not popular, and your recommendation means much more then the one at the mall MacDonald’s.

Second, those business, usually ,don’t have the funds for massive advertising, and most of there costumers come from hearing about it from other people or people that past by randomly, they don’t know the importance of google maps rating and reviews to draw costumers to there business. By uploading the simplest review or creating for them the icon on google maps you benefit so much for them and you upgrade their business success.

So for me, sharing my good experience, reviewing a place I loved and opening a business location on google maps, for a small not known place. Is a great and powerful thing i can return for those who really need it.

@Aviad198 I loved your post. You really expressed the benefits (to the small business owner) of posting in Google Maps, and also showed how others can benefit too. I liked your photo of what was clearly a small business, yet both customer and barber look so happy! I got a really good sense of you and your community in Israel.
