The thing i love the most to do Google Maps besides just navigating my way to my destinations is posting photographs. Be it places or food; i post all of it as i believe that a picture speaks louder than words. Because if i put myself in the shoes of someone who is new to a place and if i only get a verbal description of any place that i would like to go, it would be some help but not much. But if someone comes up with couple of photographs of that place, it would make things a lot easier. Right? So, i feel it is very important to provide few photos of the places besides just writing a review so that it gives some idea to the people new to the place. Also, since this is a platform to guide others, this would be the perfect way to guide someone.
For an instance, if you see the picture posted; it is of Chowmahalla palace in Hyderabad, India. If a new person comes in and who has never visited this before and tries to check out for reviews and photographs of the place, the person can get a clear idea of how it looks from the inside through this picture.
And that’s why i believe photographs are very important especially on the maps.
