I live in Bengaluru, and one of the best things about this city, apart from the “Garden City” or the “IT City” tags is that a whole lot of Bengaluru is tech-savvy. It’s one of those places in India where even a street vendor will accept a digital mode of payment, and probably even has their business listed on Google Maps. So, quite naturally, there are thousands of contributors on Google Maps and millions of viewers. From the street side pani puri wala to the raddi paper wala (scrap collector), everyone is listed on Google Maps. Heck, they even have tens, if not hundreds of photographs and numerous reviews attached to their businesses. In short, almost everything is already “up there” on Google Maps.
Coming back to me, I am a breakfast kind of person. Particularly, south Indian breakfast. I consider breakfast as the most important meal of the day. That also further means that the breakfast is my heaviest meal. Being a breakfast fanatic, I leave no stones unturned in trying out new things. Or variants of the same things. There have been days when I have traveled 18-30 kilometers to try out the new shop which served Davangere Butter Dosa or Bidadi Thatte Idli. I find breakfast the most delicious, and always am up to trying new dishes. Also, the places I visit, at times are quite small ones and yet, the food there is scrumptious and undiscovered. And when I add photos of those places on Google Maps, I feel that more and more people should try this undiscovered part in the mostly digitized city.
