What I love sharing on Google Maps

I have been using Google Maps to explore and few new places whilst travelling for work.

Taking pictures on the road and sharing on the platform has been my passion since I became a #LocalGuide. My greatest inspiration has been drawn from the pictures and reviews which I have posted with Google Maps users appreciating. I did not have an idea that I would be at 100,000+ views on my postings.

My pictures inform audiences on what to do should they want to explore my interests.

For example, I visited one of the local county governments with a friend while on a project work. My family had reservations about the trip due to security concerns in the area but I still made the big decision and travelled. Being on the road for close to 10 hours wasn’t easy but it was worth sharing.

This was important to me in sharing a story in future for would be travellers going this direction.

Pictures about places especially where I had gone to are essential in planning for a trip, helping you to identify what to wear, accomodation and other areas of interest.

I shared my trip report with the bus company owners as I felt there was need to have two drivers for such a long distance and not one. When exhaustion sets in then the driver is likely to make mistakes.I saw My. Kilimanjaro from my train seat while heading to Mombasa. A fellow passenger had his binoculars so this was awesome.

Finally, my picture reviews have helped others in making decisions on which hotels to go to for specific meals or delicacies.

My passion to take pictures and recirev will continue as I am more interested in making life easier.

I have also shared my driving experience with Google Maps and navigation. It has been so easy using Google Maps Voice Navigation to move from known to unknown places. Imagine asking for direction only for one to mislead you! This is a thing of the past for me.
