I love highlighting local spots worthy of notoriety that I believe should get more shine. For example, there is one bakery that has THE best cakes and cupcakes. I believe their cupcakes are way better than a lot of the hyped up places in NYC and surrounding areas. So while coworkers fawn over Sprinkles, Magnolia’s and Molly’s (which isn’t bad) cupcakes, I love knowing that I know a spot who’s cakes & cupcakes blows all other out of the water for a lot less dough. It’s even better when I’m able to share that with others through reviews. Additionally, I also like to give the local Jamaican restaurants that get it right my stamp of approval and authenticity. Consider me the your unofficial authority certifying establishments serving Jamaica cuisine.
