What I love sharing on Google Maps and why?

Google Maps allows me, as a Local Guide, to feel part of the community since I am able to give back and share my knowledge. It asks the right question to the right people; someone like me who has lived in that place her whole life.

Google Maps has created a great opportunity for people like me, who want to share what they know about their city. It also allows me to add anything that I see missing.

I love sharing the following on Google maps:

  1. Reviews as a local guide for locals as well as tourists
  2. Reviews as tourist or visitor to new places to help other tourists.
  3. When I feel that I need to highlight a place, I give it’s review on Google Map and also on my YouTube channel. I feel it gives others a “feel” of the place which cannot be captured in words. I make sure to give a link of my video in the Google Map review as a cross reference.
  4. Quick answers wherever to help others
  5. Photos, as pictures speak louder than words
  6. Local lists on topics, as I understand the pulse and the speciality of my city.

I share all the above listed, because I am passionate about sharing and connecting the two: who wants it and who has it.

When you write further, please add photos to your posts.

Thank you for your feedback. This is my first post. I still have to explore how to use it. Any tips on how to add photos or videos here? Is it possible to add photos now in the existing post?
