I love to answer review questions and share photos of places I have been to. Most of the time this happens automatically, I get invitations to answer questions and write reviews on places I have visited.
Because my Location sharing is turned on most of the time, Google Maps automatically tracks and gather information on places I go to, and ask questions about these places later.
The “why” is because of the many benefits that comes with information sharing. Personally I use Google Maps for my road trips and when visiting new places. Information gathered from the Maps have helped shaped my decisions in finding these places and learning about them. In addition, I get the equal opportunity to give more information on places I visit especially regarding its accessibility to people with disability.
By sharing about my experience, I am helping others know more about these places in terms of services offered, accessibility, etc. and I am also helping to keep Google Maps updated with recent information.
