My main focus for reviews on Google Maps are restaurants and bars. I’m a huge foodie & I love a good happy hour!! When I travel I there’s no better way to get a taste of any new culture other than literally that… getting a taste!! I use google maps just as others who depend on the application to find good restaurants, bars, and social activities; but one thing these places all have in common, is good food. When I come across a new restaurant establishment, the first thing I do is check out the reviews on Google to see if it’s worth giving a try, exam the pictures, and if I’m feeling it then I add it to my list of spots to check out. Once I’ve tried it I usually leave a detailed review of my experience, with pictures of my food, and of the the establishment (inside and out).
Another big reason for me focusing on restaurants and bars, is due to the growing economy in my hometown, Detroit, MI. The development in our city is unreal and extremely optimistic. There are new spots popping up daily & I love to be one of the firsts to try them, leave a review and encourage my friends on the great eats, service and atmosphere I’ve encountered. This give me a platform for outreach and allows me to become an ambassador for my city.
