What I Love Sharing Most on Google Maps...

Hello Everyone.

I’m Hannah, I live in Bedford, England and I’m a Level 5 Local Guide (maybe even Level 6 by the time Connect Live 2019 comes around!).

I’m a born and bred Bedfordian. In fact, I have always lived within a two-mile radius of the house I grew up in. Boring right? Well yes, probably very boring but it does give me the advantage of knowing my way around town. I can recommend who does the best coffee or cake, or maybe it’s an independent bookshop you’re after, or maybe you’d rather have share a yummy ice cream after your lovely dinner elsewhere. This even earned me a nickname when I was at University. My friend nicknamed me “Han-Han” because I knew my way around Bedford better than her TomTom Satnav.

That was almost 15 years ago now, but now I can try and put all that knowledge to use, take it out of my head and share it with other people. Maybe I have just the right piece of information for someone visiting Bedford town centre for the first time.

Looking down my existing maps, there are so many different topics covered. There are everyday adventures like the map my friend and I created to include play areas around the town along with reviews and tips - like where to park your car and where is the nearest coffee shop/toilets. Then there are the bigger dream adventures, like the map of places I’d like to visit one day - beware it’s a long one and it keeps growing. Then there are the memories, remembering where we have been, and where we’d like to go again. There are points in the UK then there are points on other continents too. From Lilongwe to Lindisfarne and Ipswich to Izmir, there’s a whole selection of places and hopefully, the list will just keep growing as we get to visit more places.

I guess in short, I love sharing about my adventures on Google Maps just in case someone out there in the big wide world would find my information interesting or helpful along their way (and maybe make their trips or adventures just that bit more enjoyable).

So, what do you love to share on Google Maps?
