I love to share my experience with the world on Google Maps. This is an interesting way to help people around. There are many people who visit my country as a tourist and they are actually our guests. There is a common saying in India that a guest is like God. A guest should be honoured and helped in all possible ways. This is my way. I help them with photos and suggestions about the places in India.
I love sharing feedback on restaurants. In this way, I help people in getting nice food in the street. I also love to answer questions about the places I have visited.
My most favourite activity on Google maps is " Add a missing place " section. Back in my hometown when I first joined Google Maps Local guide programme, I was astonished to see that there are a lot of famous sites of my town which are not present on the Google maps. Hence, they were hidden for the world outside. I felt it as a debt on me to include all the important places of my town on the Maps with pictures and details. I loved to do this and additionally, I got rewards from Google. I received free Google drive space for one year. I am very thankful to this great company for the rewards and for providing us with this platform to help others and improve the online presence of our towns and cities. Thanks.
I want maps to be more local people friendly. There are a number of people in India who want to share their work and business with Google maps but they lack in using mobile applications and the English language. I hope Google will make a simple version for such people where they can easily upload pictures and feedbacks also in their local language.
