What I love sharing most on Google Maps

I enjoy uncovering and broadcasting the unique cultural diversities that I’ve experienced in distant global locations, which I have found in a restaurant, small business, or event location within my local community. I have traveled very much professionally and personally and have most enjoyed my international slightly more than domestic travel. That is because of the differences in cultures and the indelible memories they leave. When I return to my local community or even when I’m travelling domestically to a place not so far from home, I like finding authentic locations that can take me back to some of those memories, but more importantly re-immerse me in those cultures. It’s incredible to see how emigrants to travel bug-stricken local have captured and recreated the sites, sounds, tastes, and smiles of unmistakable location, but right here in Smyrna and nearby Atlanta, GA.

When I have guests in town who’ve never been to Jamaica, or I simple want to share a familiar sashimi with a friend like “that time in Shinagawa,” it is incredible to know and feel that closeby. This in no way takes away from the few unique flavors that develop here, but we are more a melting pot than a one faced community. Being able to connect people and those experiences in my town is the essence of what being a local guide means to me and why it’s so important and fun.
