The thing which i love most on Google maps is uploading the pictures of the places which are near me & places which i visit because A PICTURE can express many great things one want to know before visiting the places ,like what type of facilities are there,what are the views their at different times so that they can decide the best time to visit the place.For this i visit my nearby places regularly & upload photos of different times like early morning ,afternoon,evening time.
I currently live in the college hostel so i upload many photos of functions taking place here regularly like independence day celebration,Ganesh chaturthi celebration(one of the Hindu festival of India) & many more.The alumnus from hostel remembers the hostel days again by just seeing these photos.Some of them also commented about this on Google maps.Also new juniors who will come in future batches ,see the photos & get encouragement to celebrate the festivals with great energy & enthusiasm & will maintain the legacy of the hostel for many long time.
When i was started contributing to google maps ,I was not aware of many things,but after then i found many useful things there like i can help many peoples by just uploading the photos of places i visit.So i started to upload the photos & when people see my uploaded photos ,I got encouragement for adding more & more photos of different places. With increasing number of views on my uploaded photos my motivation to upload more photos increases.I used to check the number of views on my uploaded photos on daily basis & it feels great by seeing the increasing number.
One of the senior girl of my college also contacted me because she was seen my local guides profile & the photos i uploaded & after then we became good friends. She helps me regularly in my studies.Her praise to me for the local guides contributions work as great motivation to help more & more on google maps.
