What I love sharing most on Google Maps- shaping the maps More safety accessible

I started contributing on Google maps about the local, undiscovered food street shops as being a vegetarian myself it was hard to find good and pocket friendly vegetarian eating joints in new cities but when why photos and reviews got Thousands of Likes I got more inspired and started writing about other places as well. I share mostly because of female safety as I am being a solo female traveler I want others to get insight about that place first and have security access beforehand.

The most amazing experience was when I was solo traveling to another city (which I have traveled before) and talking to other fellow travelers, one of them showed me my own review about the place and told me that it was written in so much detail that one can feel that they were also there while reading this, review was very elaborate that they could imagine the dish in front of them and actually relate to the taste of it. Of course they didn’t know it was me! This experience was so overwhelming.

Infact when people got to know that i am a local google guide in my society they started approaching me for correcting the road street address, mark a particular road entrance closed and list their business on Google Maps. I was really thrilled that my work is getting recognised and I am able to give back to the society.

But for the most important reason as what I share is all the places from the perspective of a single female traveler. When i share a review about a place it’s not about how delicious the particular food is or how beautiful some paintings are, but I share what’s the easiest and secure way to reach there, by what time they are open, is it safe for single female travelers to be out there at that particular time, if any precaution needed and other important stuff.

It’s really interesting when my reviews clear their questions before even asking and making it a safer place for women to travel freely without any hindrance or speculations.
