Most of all I as a million of other people like to share beautiful photos of different landmarks, beautiful landscapes I have visited. But when I see millions photos under some showplace I understand that there are no need to add one more similar photo (but sometimes it’s too difficult to hold on).
More useful I think is to find something unusual in daily things. There are a lot of objects you pass away every day and don’t even notice them. But if you turn up in the unfamiliar city (and sometimes in your own city) you may need to find a drugstore or a shop and the photos and reviews of this place would be very helpful for you. So I prefere adding the usual daily objects or not so popular landmarks and reviews for them, it gives some diversity for the maps.
Moreover I like to find and add some new objects, it is like the hunting for me.
What I can’t understand on google maps it’s the photos of food. It’s difficult enouth to understand by the photo if some meal is tasty though it may be very beautiful. In addition the same meal in the same place may differ in different days.

@Reisen Thank you for your appreciation. Indeed, people often don’t notice some usual habitual objects. There can be millions similar photos of the Eiffel Tower and no one photo of the pharmasy near it (if it is added on the Maps at all). You hardly can earn so many views for pharmacy’s photos, but they are more useful for the Maps users.
