What I love sharing most on Google Maps and why?

Before the invention of Map Applications in smartphones, there were many confusions about where to go, which is the place to eat and which ones are the best. This especially happens to the tourists who are alone on their trip. They’re almost helpless due to language barriers and some feel shy to approach the locals. That’s when Local Guides come as Life Saviors with Google Maps as their swords. With Google Maps any person at unknown places can see where they are but how would they know about the best places to dine, stay, buy movie props etc And these things can only be answered by a person living in that locality.

I love sharing about the places I visit but what I like sharing most are the geek shops. I like to share these places to meet like-minded geeks and maybe exchange some rare collectibles. Consequently everyone starts sharing about geek shops, cheap dining places with good local food and ambiance etc and you feel at home even if you are alone in a completely different country

I also love supporting local businesses! With customer reviews and ratings playing larger role in our day to day lives, I feel it is important to take the extra step in providing a rating or review for a local business as I know my feedback will go directly to the establishment, while also helping others who may be considering a visit or purchase decision.

So the main reason why I share these are because there is some person on the other end of the world doing the same for me trying to make my visit to his/her country safe and pleasant.

Thank you google for giving me this opportunity to be part of this. I’m proud to be a local guide.
