Most of all I like to share pictures of museums, heritage buildings and picturesque sites, because in my opinion, they reveal the culture and the history of cities and countries, make them unique and aesthetically pleasing, display local colour, and on the whole, shape cities.
People perceive the cities they visit first of all with their eyes. And before they visit a particular place or make a decision which place to visit, they search for information in order to find out the most scenic and must-visit sites. And it is the illustrative information in the form of pictures that provides the best insights! Pictures found on Google Maps help travellers to form their expectations about the places they are interested in.
And of course, in addition, it would be very helpful to find some further short info, such as a piece of advice, other visitors’ tips and opinions, etc. And this is my second favourite activity on Google Maps – writing reviews. I love writing about my experience, sharing it in the form of short feedbacks and backing them up with a few shots, because I believe my small contributions help others to make decisions, to use their time efficiently, and on the whole, they make Google Maps better.
