What I love sharing most on Google Maps and why

I love trying to “make a difference” using Google Maps. – As corny as it sounds, I love posting on Google Maps to “help make the world a better place … one post at a time.” I aspire to “make a difference” with my life and Google Maps is the best way I have found to impact the most people … hopefully in a meaningful way.

To do this I use my natural instinct for urban-exploring (locally and world-wide) to find and share about hidden gems and undiscovered or under-appreciated local attractions, businesses, or resources. I especially like doing this in-or-for disadvantaged communities, whether the disadvantage is economic, cultural, or a disability.

So besides being familiar with local and tourist highlights … a baseline for being a Local Guide … I always search-out and explore less-popular, but hopefully more-significant, places that can benefit most from the “free advertising” that is Google Maps.

If I am selected to attend Google Local Guides Connect 2019, I hope to learn more about the inner-workings of Google Maps to help me make the biggest difference in communities where I am able to explore and share on Google Maps. In conclusion, I LOVE Google Maps. Making worthwhile and meaningful contributions has become a driving force in my life. Google Maps … Thank you! And PLEASE keep it up!
