Hello world,
Marcus from Chicago, IL here to introduce myself to the local guides community and review the things that I enjoy sharing most on Google Maps and why. A little about myself, I just turned 26 last march and a true Aries by nature. I was born on the south side of Chicago, IL not too far from the white-sox stadium. I lived in the suburbs surrounding the Chicagoland area as a kid and attended university at Monmouth College. I moved to Colorado just a month after I graduated from college and have been living here for the last three years and I fall more and more in love with it each day. I have been fortunate enough to have found several different employment opportunities within the Denver and Aspen communities that have allowed me to support students and families, while drawing upon and expanding my background in the areas of psychology and education. I am dedicated to continually expanding my knowledge on mental health, learning, and behavior. It is very important for me to help youth and teens improve their quality of life by aligning their aspirations with their behaviors. Lastly, I believe that it is very important to get involved with your community. Since Colorado has experienced such an influx of people natural occurrences such as gentrification have began to take hold. The individuals whom have called Colorado home for decades are experiencing first hand what I like to call, THE GREAT POT MIGRATION. With that being said, I believe that it is our duty give back to the lands in which we live on and the communities in which we wish to join.
I love going out for dancing and I love to eat even more. I am constantly finding a new restaurant or bar to favor and I figured google local guides was great and easy way to get involved in the Denver community. So now whenever I venture to a new town or find a new place to drink, I rate and review it for others to find. I also love to take photos and sometimes I will even upload a photo with my review. As you will see, I mostly focus on reviewing dining and drinking places but also hiking trails and tourist towns to recommend a visit as well. Any and everything Colorado, I love to review. I think some of my favorite things to share on google maps are bars, restaurants, and hiking trails in new mountain towns that I find. There are so many fun and little towns throughout Colorado’s rocky mountains such as Marble, Crested Butte, and Salida. These towns have such character and typically gorgeous views that cameras never do justice. I love to take adventures through new towns and maybe one day share them with my loved ones. For now, I can share them with the world through my reviews and photos for others to see. Word of mouth is always the best form of free advertisement! I look forward to doing more reviews in the future and as I began to travel more in my life, I will review bars, restaurants, and hiking trails in other cities and countries around the world.
