Make a Sensational Trip to Nam Du Archipelago

It has been fun being a local guide here for the past few months. I don’t usually write about places that I’ve been to or worked at, but this location is one that I admire a lot for its uniqueness. Nam Du Archipelago is situated in the southeast part of Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. It is a place for everyone to visit and have fun to the fullest.

You can make the best out of the experience if you come from mid-July to December when the raining season has passed. During this period, the blue sky is a sight to see, the sea-sand is as crisp as ever and the cold air from the sea is highly refreshing and exciting. The moment you arrive at this location, the locals are more than happy to help you out with your loads. They are very friendly and approachable. The locals also sell incredible souvenirs (with a bright smile on their faces) that are good for your purchase. They are the core reasons why most tourists come back after their first experience. The hospitality is second to none. You can always get a place to rent from scooters.

Apart from the hospitality provided by the locals, the view of the beautiful beach is relieving to a stressed mind. You will feel relieved anytime you look at the sweet sight with protruded ramps to be concurred by your able body.

The beauty of nature here will give you a lasting glamor with your photographer. You can take unlimited shots of clear, clean and cool pictures that will always remind you of the pleasure you have experienced.

Another good sight you must not miss is the legendary bonsai standing steadily and naturally upright as if a supermodel in gentle ao dai (which is Vietnamese traditional dress), posing in front of the camera. Also, tourists who come here don’t miss out an opportunity to see a unique tree (that has a heart shape) called “loving tree” by local people.

And finally, you will definitely love to see how slow and steady the sun set in the evening. At around 5 pm, most tourists and locals find a good spot to watch the sunset. Why aren’t such magnificent images shared? It would be very romantic for a couple to make an offer for marriage, right?

This is definitely a place where you will feel unhappy when leaving. You will be hypnotized by a sea goddess. If I say I’m into this place, I mean it 100%. It would be a big pity if you don’t set foot on it one day.

P/S: From Ho Chi Minh City, you have to take a sleeping bus to Rach Gia, Kien Giang with 3,5 USD, then take a boat to Nam Du with 8,75 USD
