Google maps started off as a functional tool for me. I relied on it for directions but it has now morphed into a way to discover, plan and connect with friends.
1.Discover- I love using the search local businesses function in finding the best food and activities.
2.Plan - the geospatial dimension allows me to work out time and distance for trips
3.Connect - as the chief planner of holidays and excursions, I use Google Maps to share and debate with my friends on the itinerary.
Entering my fifth year away from home, Google Maps has been of undeniable help. Google Maps has enabled me to organize a day trip to Queens, birthday weekend in Nashville with ten friends and a cross-country Euro-trip. I can even easily review and share these pearls of wisdom with fellow travelers - pay it forward for all the help I’ve received from other guides.
