What I love sharing most on Google Maps and why.

Whenever a question pops in my head, I use Google to find out more about it. Whether it is to find out about the meaning of a word or finding out a clinic for my dog’s surgery or any new place to hang out. And in this process, I was introduced to the concept of Google Guides. I started out small, I gave honest ratings about the places I visited. I then slowly and steadily learned how pictures of a place and detailed reviews of your experience can help other people decide their plans. It saves time and energy to know a place beforehand and I realized I am helping people all over the world with my reviews.

I love sharing my experiences of cafes and pubs since I know whenever somebody looks for new places to hang out they first want to know about the look and feel of the place, the crowd and most importantly the food. I have noticed that in my area, the places can have more detailed reviews, particularly about the seating, service, and the overall experience and I make sure when I visit a place, I provide that. When Google informed me that my pictures were getting views, I came to know how much people relied on visuals and now almost every review of mine has a visual component.

Long story short, Google Guides helped me realize sharing is caring and my audience is the whole world!
