I did not give enough credit to Google maps initially but i realized the importance of it much later when people started posting their reviews of the places.Reviews are making Google maps better day by day and it will improve as the time come .
So coming to the point why I share on Google maps when I am not getting anything in return.
Reason -1 :
Simple reason is that it helps me and other people to make informed decision and make the owner of the place responsible for what he is doing for e.g. if a restaurant is not clean and people post it in on maps the restaurant owner is responsible for that and he knows that people will watch this review and might not come to the restaurant he is bound to maintain the place clean.
Reason -2 :
I share a lot of photos of the places because I want to see the place before I go there it is easy to locate the place after you reach nearby because maps is not 100% accurate and it the responsibility of people like me to edit and make the maps better.
it also helps people identify which places are clean and hygienic.
Reason -3:
I also like to edit places which are wrongly pinned because i know in traffic people don’t have the time and there is no parking space for people so if anything is wrongly added to the maps i try to edit it so that is easy for people to locate it and save time.
