Hi everyone! I’m Elora, I’m Italian but I’m living in London now. I started to use Local Guides Connect few time ago. I’m new inside this community but I’ve started to contribute to google maps 2 years ago.
The part I prefer most is being able to share photos with the world via google maps. What do you do before travel? The first thing I usually do when I’m planning a new travel, towards an unknown destination, is to search informations on Google Maps to find photos and reviews made by Local Guides. I really love to know what real people think about something, about a place, a restaurants or a hotels. There is nothing better than a sincere review made by someone who could be a traveler like me, probably with the same expectations and hopes.
What I really love about this community is its “humanity”, everything is possible thanks to real people like me, you, them. There are so many travel guides created by experienced travelers and different companies, but I always find them very banal and detached. What I like most about the Local Guides community is its simplicity. Any person can writes a review, adds photos and videos of his favorite places and so on. What comes out is concrete, unique and global Guide. It is completely free access and boundless. Boundless, a single word which today is become more important than ever before.
So, in my small way, I try to make a difference, helping the community in its growth. This is what I really like: to share my pics all over the world.
