I use a lot Google Maps, especially when i am outside in a trip. Usually I read a blog and I create a list on Google Maps with all places that I want to visit. After I download the maps and I am ready to explore the new city!! I use too in my city to found restaurants that I have good references or if I found some especial place I mark in a “heart” to remember all and come back. I can’t imagine my life without Google Maps haha.
