Hello,
My name is Gabriela, I´m a graphic designer from Buenos Aires, the Capital City of my country.
We are “Porteños,” the people of the port. We have immigrant blood, we are passionate, we give big embraces and we always greet with a kiss.
We are made of contrasts: between popular culture and sophisticated Culture, between the traditional and the modern, between old religions and modern idols, and our city is full of life and intensity, enriched with stories that are shared and entwined.
Here, we bump into each other in the street then sit for hours over a coffee. Here, we look each other in the eye. Here, the night is a new day, and the city lights up with its hundreds of theatres and thousands of restaurants and bars.
When I first started using Google guides, i did it just for fun, I didn´t really thought about who was it writing to.
As time went by, I realized that it is an application that has many possibilities. It has helped me to guide myself in cities that I had never been, it has allowed me to know places that maybe, otherwise, I would never have been encouraged to visit, It made me realize of the many possibilities of being in a new city and It allowed me to get to know a lot better the city where I was born. Therefore, at some point I felt that I was part of a much larger community a global community. And it was at that moment that I felt the need to start sharing my real experiences with others, to return the favor that they have given me, to return it with advice, warnings, specifications, always telling it from my point of view but most objectively possible. Because that´s what I look for, a guide that I can trust. My reviews can be varied, I have made reviews of locals to eat, museums, attractions, etc. But what matters most to me is to be sincere and honest, because for me that is a guide, to take the other one down the right path.
