Throughout history… testimonials have always been one of the most strongest methods for attracting new customers/people. Whether it’s a person saying to another person “yeah that gal is a decent” or someone recommending a movie or in this digital age; reviews of restaurants/services/products etc.
As a Muslim living in the UK I enjoy reviewing places that I have been to (not just restaurants) so people can have my take on the place. For restaurants; it is great to know if they cater to the Halal diet etc. Normally people love to complain (or review negatively) when something goes wrong; I have strived to review a place regardless of a good or bad experience; that is the only time we get a true representation of the place.
It’s a great feeling when I get notifications and emails saying I got ‘likes’ on my reviews or I have X amount of views. This lets me know that what I am reviewing is helping others in their journey; that is quite a fulfilling experience. I myself always check reviews of places before visiting a place (even though I like to get my own feel of a place).
So Local guides… keep them reviews coming!
