Hi everyone, my name is ALSON LEE, you may just call me as LEE or ALSON, some of my chinese friends call me Xian too! This is my very first post to introduce myself and share what I love sharing most on google maps and why.
To begin with, here is a photo of mine:
Age: 35
**Location:**Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, Malaysia
Brief Introduction:
I am a Chinese, Malaysian raised up in Taiping Perak, Malaysia, a peaceful small town known as “Rain Town” as it is Peninsular Malaysia’s wettest town.
Taiping is the place where I started my hobby for photography on scenic places as well as delicious and good looking food.See how beautiful the 120-year-old Golden Rain Trees in Taiping Lake Garden is. Many couples actually come all the way to Taiping just to have their stunning and breathtaking wedding photograph taken here.
Educational Background: I have a degree in Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Translation & Interpretation and being multi-cultural Malaysian, I have good proficiency both written and verbally in English, Malay and Mandarin. I can also speak Chinese dialects such as Cantonese, Hokkien and a little of Japanese (used to passed Japanese Language Proficiency Test - Level 3)
Occupation: Ironically, I am not in any linguistic profession but holding a manager position in a healthcare group instead, which is specializing in elderly care and chains of nursing home. My role is to support to overall operations and business development of the group in Malaysia. Elderly can be naggy but can be extremely adorable too!
What I love sharing most on Google Maps and WHY:
My collection of photography on scenic places as well as delicious and good looking food turned USEFUL when I found Google Review. It enables us to show the whole world the great food and scenic places I appreciate (especially with me inside the photograph =D).
Being a Local Guide, I hope my review and photographs could help viewers and google users to MAKE A BETTER DECISION whether for their next meal or next travel destination. I think this is important as I dislike the situation where I regretted wasting my calories quota, eating bad tasting food or ended up in a risky or dangerous travel places.
With Google Reviews and tons of genuine Local Guides like us, people are in a better position to “preview”, choose and plan what they are going to enjoy and expect next!
Below are some samples of my reviews for some of my favorite scenic places (with me inside!!! LOL):
Austria - The Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Swarovski Kristallwelten)
The Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Swarovski Kristallwelten) is a museum, located in Watten, Austria. Built in 1995 in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Austria based crystal company Swarovski. Gorgeous crystal art pieces and you may buy some good crystal souvenirs here too! =DMy Visit to Universal Studios Japan - Harry Potter Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Nice Universal Studio. Japanese actually dress in various costumes and come here for real fun! Eye opening! However, most things/ are conducted/ narrated in Japanese, would be a turn-off if you do not know basic Japanese. Love the The Wizarding Word of Harry Potter! It’s like you get to see the actual Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the book and movie!
Fun Time with Deer in Nara Deer Park, Japan
I love this place. The
Japanese people take care of this park very well, clean and beautiful.Different stunning scenic view in different seasons and trust me, you will be amazed. And I am impressed with how the deer can be so friendly and not being afraid to travelers! Some of them flirt with the travelers too!
Malaysia, Sky Mirror Sekinchan
The travel package was very reasonable. It covered 1-2 hour photo session and return boat trip. Photographer was very helpful too and suggested us to pose differently for wowing effect. I was so amazed to stand and walk in the middle of ocean during low tide period. A must-not-miss place if you like to take good instagrammable photograph! =DMalaysia - A night in Sarang By the Brook
This is a perfect place for weekend breakaway from hectic KL city life. I saw some groups of people here for company retreat as well. Try to imagine, an accommodation with pool, paired with the color of the comfortable containers, surrounded by natural forest and bird chirping sounds. The level of relaxation is something beyond normal 5 stars hotels can give.
Thailand - My love for Huskies grew further in Truelove @ Neverland, Bangkok
This is a place you should not miss if you love dog, especially the HUSKIES! You will get some free time to randomly take photos with many huskies walking around the gated area. On top of that, you can take a free photograph with 5-7 well-trained brilliant huskies posing (and CLIMBING UP ON YOU) around you for stunning photograph. You have to queue for this though.
To sum up, this is my part I of the post which covers some of my favorite scenic places for photography. I will be posting part II on irresistible food review soon. Stay tuned and hope you like my post!
